This is Kaori Yuki's second artbook. Unlike Angel Cage, this book is in left to right format. It contains only illustrations and information dedicated to her manga Angel Sanctuary. There are 55 color illustrations in this book. 21 are full page spread. 11 illustrations are double spreads. All of them printed on thick card stock paper. A third of the book comprises of monochrome manga sketches and characters info in Japanese. I prefer this book over her Angel Cage. Some of the double spread illustrations found here are amazing. Kaori Yuki's is able to achieve a dark, torn, depressed, morbid feel in her arts even though her choices of colors aren't always dark. |
