This book is almost identical to Dezhen's other book, The Portraits of the Ladies. There are 64 full color pages total. Book also comes with a postcard-sized foldout pamphlet containing 6 illustrations. All of which can also be found inside the book. In contrast to The Portraits of the Ladies, artworks in this book are of beautiful females in modern day clothing. They are neatly presented; either full or half pages. Each illustration is accompanied by a short verse written in Traditional Chinese followed by English translation. There is no other apparent flaw I can find; except that the pretty cover art is nowhere to be found within this book which is rather disappointing. Other than that, the illustrations are obviously beautiful and the price is not too bad either. Get this if you're a fan of Dezhen. |
