Out of the three art books that have been released by Rieko Shimizu, this is my favorite. The book still uses the same high quality paper as the previous two. However, there is an additional monotone illustrations section that makes this book a little more special. Illustrations there have mainly blue coloring and pink tones for the flowers (sample #5). My scanner did a horrible job so the details and colors of the images can't be seen properly. As for the color illustrations, three quarter of it feature artworks from Kaguya Hime. There is also a small section dedicated to Kaguya Hime's characters info and relationships afterward. The last quarter consisted of illustrations from Magic, Wild Cats, and a few others I could not identify. Overall, this is a beautiful book filled with lush illustrations. I could not find any flaw against it. This is a must buy even if you don�t know the manga or Reiko Shimizu herself. |
